WE ARE LATINOS!

Here at the Black Latina Movement our agenda is not to separate "black latinos" from "white latinos". We are all one!

There was some confusion as someone recently said to me how are you uniting your people when you are creating a sub-group and in essence causing another division. No that is not my intention and I apologize as of now if that is how it has been taken.

The division was not created by me it was decades in the making when being white or associated with being white was the supreme race and the way to be. We as Blacks were divide and then Latinos even further as we wound up not knowing where to fit. And unless you went for higher education or took it upon yourself to know the difference you would know that Latino is not a race but rather an ethnicity.

So the purpose of what I wanted to do is create a forum and place to give a voice for Black Latinos as we have been so removed from common society at times.

I did not create this problem but I want to shine light on it and create a resolution for it.

I wish things were different and we were not divided as Latinos but a perfect world we do not live in. So the best I can do is show who we are. It is not about dividing us but providing acknowledge to my group of people.
